How the Morpheus8 Improves Skin Complexion and Texture for a More Radiant Appearance

As your shield, your skin does a great job of protecting your body throughout your life. Unfortunately, this role begins to take its toll as you age, as your skin breaks down and gradually loses the resources that once kept it resilient. While there’s no turning back the clock, we now have a way to wake those resources up, providing renewed support for your beleaguered skin — Morpheus8™.

At Integrative Medicine, Laser and Aesthetics, our team is pleased to introduce the Morpheus8 to our anti-aging arsenal. This unique weapon restores a more youthful and brighter appearance to aging skin by tapping your body’s own resources.

Here’s a look at how the Morpheus8 can improve your skin’s complexion and texture for a more radiant appearance.

A look at aging skin

There are several forces at work when it comes to aging skin. Leading the charge is exposure, namely to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. This radiation is absorbed by your skin, which causes the premature breakdown of your skin cells. Under normal circumstances, your skin regenerates itself every month or so, but with constant exposure breaking down your skin cells, your cells are unable to keep up with the damage through regeneration.

Another problem is that your production of collagen and elastin begins to wane as you grow older. These two proteins are responsible for skin’s elasticity and tone. Collagen makes up about three-quarters of your skin, and exposure to the environment can break down your existing collagen.

The Morpheus8 solution

Now that we understand what’s behind aging skin — a breakdown in support — let’s take a look at how the Morpheus8 can solve this problem. The system uses fractionated radiofrequency (RF) technology, which we deliver into your tissue to stimulate collagen production.

The term “fractionated,” means we create a matrix of microchannels across the surface of your skin to deliver the RF energy, which travels deep into your dermis without harming the surface area, called the epidermis. The thermal action this energy causes a mild healing response in your tissue, which comes in the form of ramped-up collagen production.

With our Morpheus8 system, we lead your body to believe that it needs to jump into action to protect your skin from the heat we create.

The Morpheus8 results

After your Morpheus8 session with us, you’re free to get on with your day, as there’s no downtime afterward. You may notice an immediate effect in your skin as your tissue coagulates, but the real work begins during the weeks following your final treatment. Most of our patients undergo up to three Morpheus8 treatments.

As your body responds to the treatment, it synthesizes new collagen, which creates a new network of support below your skin, lifting the surface area and creating a smoother texture. This renewed support also leads to cell regeneration that brightens your complexion.

About 4-6 weeks after your final treatment, your skin should appear noticeably more vibrant and youthful.

If you’d like to explore the exciting Morpheus8 technology further, please give our office in Carmel, Indiana, a call. Or you can use the online scheduling tool to set up an appointment.
